Frequently Asked Questions
What is AltStation.io?
AltStation.io is a stock and crypto market hub focused on making financial data easy to digest quickly. Instead of dense spreadsheets of numbers, each stock gets a plain-English overview, a 52-week price chart, recent news, and a bull case / bear case / what-to-watch analysis in one page.
Where does your data come from?
Stock fundamentals (price, market cap, financials, analyst targets, and more) are pulled from Yahoo Finance and Alpaca via automated daily jobs into our own database. News is pulled from live web search at the time each report is generated, with source links included so you can verify it yourself.
How often are stock pages updated?
Stock pages refresh on a rolling cycle — roughly once a month per stock, spread across the month rather than all at once, so each page’s price chart, news, and analysis stay current without being regenerated unnecessarily often.
Is this financial advice?
No. AltStation.io is for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site is personalized financial, investment, or legal advice. Always do your own research or consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions — see our full Disclaimer for details.
Who is Nova Skye?
Nova Skye is the byline used for AltStation.io’s AI-assisted market analysis — a direct, data-driven writing style rather than a real individual. Every analysis is generated from real, current data for that stock; it does not invent facts, news, or figures.
How do I find a specific stock’s page?
Every tracked stock has its own page at altstation.io/stock/SYMBOL/ — for example altstation.io/stock/aapl/ for Apple. You can also browse the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 rankings pages linked in the site navigation.
Do you cover cryptocurrency?
Crypto coverage is in progress. Stock coverage (S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100) is live today; dedicated crypto pages are being built next.
How do I report an error or ask a question?
Email admin@altstation.io, or use the contact form on our Contact Us page. If you spot a factual error on a specific stock page, please include the page URL so we can check the underlying data.
